The DEMOCRATS IN COALITION?

The Australian Democrats will be considering this weekend, whether and on what terms they might enter a coalition government in South Australia.

The "Hypothetical" is one of the highlights of the Democrats State Conference being held over the weekend in Tanunda.

The Democrats can capture three lower house seats at the next state election with a swing of only two percent in those seats. Six seats will fall to the Democrats with a swing of five percent.

Therefore the ‘hypothetical’ is of great relevance to SA’s political future.

The State conference will be attended by all five of SA’s current Democrat MP’s: Meg Lees, Natasha Stott-Despoja, Mike Elliott, Sandra Kanck, and Ian Gilfillan.

Apart from the ‘coalition hypothetical’ from 7pm, delegates will also take part in four seminars and working groups considering the following issues:

What: Australian Democrats State Convention
When: Saturday 5th August – all day from 9am.
Where: Barossa Motor Lodge, 182 Murray St., Tanunda.
